2019- My Year in Review

I am very happy with what me, my family and my community have done this year. It has been a great year. I have learned so many things, met so many wonderful people that help our wildlife, become more confident with my conservation talks, learned how to sew & set up a market stall to promote my cause and have had lots of fun along the way.  The people in my community are amazing- they are generous and willing to help when I have put out the call for things. This is just a quick summary of everything we have done this year. Thanks to my family & community for making this all possible.    Libby

In 2019 I........

  • Started making my own items to sell including my custom t-shirts with my motto
    No Voice is too little
    No Hands are too small
    To Help SAVE OUR WILDLIFE
  • Hosted my first Wildlife Exhibition in my home town of Diamond Creek
  • Was awarded a Pride of Australia Award from News Corporation
  • Was featured as the face of the 2018 Pride of Australia Nominee campaign
  • Hosted my first online auction with All Creatures Great and Small raising $500 for the Adelaide Koala Hospital
  • Spoke at 2 Primary Schools about what I do
  • Arranged for Melbourne Water to come to my community and showcase the importance of litter in our creeks
  • Participated in Clean Up Australia Day
  • Planted trees and bushes in my community at a local reserve
  • Began my Roadside Campaign about injured or dead wildlife on our roads
    STOP - When Safe
    CALL- For help or advice
CHECK- for a pouch or joey
    RESPECT - our wildlife
  • Had 4 local businesses selling my up-cycled shopping bags for me

I continued to make and have made, rescue pouches which were once again sent all over Australia. I collected blankets, towels, sheets and cot blankets to create these and donated the towels. I collected groceries for wildlife to donate to shelters in need. I made rescue kits to sell to my community to encourage and prepare them to stop and check deceased wildlife.  I attended LOTS of markets, festivals and events where I spread my message on ways our community can help wildlife.

Groups I have donated money to:
  • Ian (a rescuer in the Grampians Vic) $50.00
  • Pam Turner from Wildwood $100.00
