5/17/2017 0 Comments Pouch PostiesThis week mum put out a post on a couple of local community pages looking for people to donate pre-paid satchels for me to send pouches to rescue groups in. These satchels cost us $13.80 and I wanted to send them to as many places as I could but we just don't have the money to do it. We couldn't believe that some people out there actually wanted to help. I decided to call these people my Pouch Posties! Anyone who donates a satchel (or two or three xx) will be added to my pouch army page in the Pouch Postie bit. If you are a business, I will also tag you in my facebook post to thank you. You can contact us if you want to donate some satchels- you can send them to me, drop them off to me in Diamond Creek Vic, or you can put the money in our account and we will buy them for you. I will send receipts to anyone that sends money for them. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY THROUGH MY ONLINE DONATION PAGE. SATCHELS- I can get between 30-40 pouches in a satchel. It depends on the material of them. If I send flannel ones there will be less of them. My first Pouch Postie is Sandra Chapman- a local lady that dropped off two satchels. These satchels were sent to: Bohollow Wildlife Shelter in Numurkah VIC. We met Deb last month when we delivered linen to her. She now has a beautiful koala by the name of Earl in her care. We hope that some of the 35 pouches we sent, make Earl's recovery better. Pine Rives Koala Care Assoc in Strathpine Queensland. My first delivery of pouches to Queensland, I am excited to be able to help the koala's in Queensland. They are the ones that need our help the most. 35 pouches went to this group. My second Pouch Postie is Samantha Arnold from Healing Heart Mind and Soul in Diamond Creek. Samantha was very kind and donated two satchels. One satchel with 35 pouches went to Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue Association in Cessnock, NSW. One satchel with 35 pouches went to Mudgeroo Emu Farm in Falls Creek, NSW. I am sure that these pouches will help lots of animals in their recovery. Thank you, again to all my Pouch Army and Pouch Posties- without you, I could not do all of this for our wildlife. Libby
