Recruiting a sewing ARMY!

I have lots of people donate linen to my Linen 4 Wildlife cause. Mum thought she might put out a call in a couple of local facebook groups to see if we could get a couple of people to sew pouches for me to deliver to rescue groups. It has been unbelievable to see how many cool people there are out there that can sew and want to help me. Thank you to everyone that is helping me be able to donate finished pouches. Mum and I traced and cut some pouches, I watched my dad sew one. Yes my dad! Today I have more than 100 pouches been sewn by local men and woman- it is awesome. I can't wait for them to start coming back to me and I can't wait to send them to rescue groups. Our first lots of pouches will be going to:
Wildlife Rescuers, Kangaloolah Wildlife Shelter and Bohollow Wildlife Shelter.
If you want to help me make pouches OR you have some material that would be good for pouches (polar fleece, flannel etc) please let us know. Comment on this post and we will contact you.
Thank you again to everyone that is helping me. Dad is going to teach me to sew- I can't wait to make them myself too.

Some of the wonderful, soft blankets that have been delivered recently. They are bundled up and will be collected by someone this weekend to be sewn into "outer pouches."  They are going to keep some poor sick/injured animals warm.

These little babies are currently (25/4/17) in care at Kangaloola Wildlife Shelter Inc.. We visited Kangaloola in April and saw first hand the wonderful work that they do for wildlife.
Tupac is the largest, Bongo is the teeny tiny black wallaby in the centre and Myah is hiding in her comfy pouch. Bongo was found in Bunnings Car Park. Myah was repeatedly thrown from the pouch by her mother, despite being returned over a couple of days. As you can see, these babies are enjoying some snug, warm pouches and they are VITAL to their recovery and survival. Groups can never had too many pouches and need them all year round!
